This call, published on June 28, aims to support individual operations promoted by SME, aimed at internationalizing their business models by adopting more advanced business strategies that increase their ability to integrate into global value chains.

Beneficiaries: Exclusively for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) that register individual exports (VNI) of more than €200,000 in the pre-project.

Types of operations:

  1. Knowledge, prospecting and presence in foreign markets;
  2. International marketing;
  3. Online presence and e-commerce;
  4. Creation and international promotion of brands;
  5. Organizational innovation related to commercial practices or external relations;
  6. Quality and specific certification for foreign markets.

Budget: EUR 32 M, distributed as follows:

  • PITD – EUR 20 M
  • PR Lisbon – EUR 10 M
  • PR Algarve – EUR 2 M

Funding rate: 40%

The maximum grant per operation is EUR 315,000.

Eligible expenses:

  1. Salary costs for hiring qualified human resources, including the basic salary and compulsory social security charges by the employer;
  2. Costs incurred in participating in fairs and exhibitions abroad, including space rental, construction and operation of the stand;
  3. Costs of specialized consultancy services, provided by external consultants, which do not constitute a continuous or periodic activity, nor are they related to the normal functioning of the beneficiaries, including expenses associated with the certification of products, processes or services, costs of designing and registering new brands, costs associated with the domiciliation and subscription of applications, adherence to electronic platforms or inclusion in directories and search engines;
  4. Other costs of specialized consultancy services provided by external consultants, including expenses aimed at incorporating ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) principles into companies with a view to adopting environmental, social and corporate governance practices, including services related to auditing processes and obtaining certifications for systems, services and products in the environmental area, such as obtaining the Ecolabel and the eco-management and audit system (EMAS);
  5. Other expenses related to promoting internationalization, including prospecting and attracting new clients and promotional actions carried out in foreign markets.

Deadlines for submitting applications:

  • Phase 1 until 09/30 (5 p.m.) - only applications from SME with exports > EUR 1 M and obtaining Project Merit > 3.5 pts will be decided.
  • Phase 2: until 30/12 (5 p.m.)
