PRR C21
This grant aims to support initial investment for the manufacture of technologies, equipment and components with a high technological readiness level (TRL≥7) and relevant to the climate transition, as well as the production/recovery of strategic and related raw materials.
Beneficiaries: companies of any size or legal form that submit investment projects within economic activities related to:
- The production of equipment relevant to the climate transition, which must be directly linked to photovoltaic solar energy and solar thermal energy, electrolyzers and fuel cells, onshore wind energy and offshore renewable energy, sustainable biogas/biomethane, batteries and storage systems, carbon capture and storage, heat pumps, energy efficiency, geothermal energy, or grid solutions; or
- The production of essential components designed and primarily used as direct inputs for the manufacturing of the equipment defined in point; or
- The production or recovery of related critical raw materials required for the manufacturing of equipment and essential components, excluding mining and extraction.
Geographical area of application: Portugal (including Azores and Madeira)
Budget: EUR 32.5 M
Eligible expenses must exceed EUR 2.5 M, including:
- Tangible assets consisting of:
- Civil construction or adaptation works;
- Machinery and equipment acquisition costs;
- Computer equipment including the software necessary for its operation.
- Intangible assets consisting of:
- Acquisition of patent rights;
- Licenses, "know-how" or specialized knowledge not protected by patents;
- Acquisition of national or international standards;
- Expenses incurred by certified accountants or auditors in validating expenditure on payment requests.
Grant: support is granted in the form of a non-refundable grant, in accordance with the following table:
Project duration: projects must start within a maximum period of 6 months from the date of the approval decision notification and must be completed by 30/06/2026, with no possibility of deadline extension.
Deadline for submitting the applications: until June 26, 2025
