DNSH – A Commitment to Sustainability in Investments
In the current European funding landscape, environmental sustainability has become an essential criterion. The DNSH principle ("Do No Significant Harm") is now a mandatory requirement for projects seeking support under the PRR and Portugal 2030 programmes.
To comply with this requirement, beneficiaries of such support must submit a self-assessment report by the project’s completion, demonstrating that their investments align with this principle.
As keynote speakers at the event were the Secretary of State for Environment and Energy, Dr. João Galamba, MEP Dr. Maria da Graça Carvalho, and the Financial Adviser for Innovation at the European Investment Bank Dr. François Gilles, among others.
At the meeting several issues were discussed, including the impact of RePowerEU in Portugal, the European perspective of RePowerEu and hydrogen, financing hydrogen projects: a perspective of the EIB Consulting Services, as well as promoting moments of dialogue between professionals involved in the ongoing energy transition.
